Work Undertaken
The Linney Group companies each represent a crucial stage in the
communication process. Clients can select from design, pre-print and print,
distribution, according to their individual needs.
A growing number of clients find themselves making use of all the Linney Group’s services. They may have a web page under construction at Linney Design, a brochure in print at Linney Print, with all their printed products stocked, managed and distributed from Linney Direct. Throughout the whole communication process a member of staff who has been thoroughly trained in all aspects of the Linney Group’s operations oversees each project.
Additional information
We currently hold an ISO 14001: 2004 certificate and our Environmental Policy
complies with all aspects of this accreditation.
We fulfil all of our recovery and recycling obligations as required by The Producer
Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 1997.
Energy efficiency and paper spoilage have been key factors in our printing
press and finishing equipment purchasing decisions.
Our purpose built, 175,000 square feet facilities, at our 10 acre Adamsway site
(completed November 1997) were constructed with environmental impact in mind The facilities were constructed on waste ground NOT a greenfield site.
The site was landscaped with banking to minimise the impact on the nearby
residential area.
Heating is radiant gas with no movement of air to prevent dust being moved
around and spray powder being deposited in office areas.
Temperature is computer controlled via heat sensors not thermostats to minimise
power usage. Ventilation is automatic & temperature controlled.
Lighting is metal halide, colour corrected, high performance with low maintenance
& running costs to minimise power usage and environmental impact.
Air is filtered/cleaned and returned to the works via a duct in winter or vented
out in summer.
Each printing press has spray powder recovery to prevent excess powder from
reaching beyond the immediate press area.
The factory has a dedicated chemical store.
The ethos within the Linney Group is very much one of working closely with our
customers and suppliers to achieve the best possible environmental results
and we have undertaken environmental projects to this effect.
